There is a growing need for peace in our world that only God can fill. It’s always a good time to speak about the peace of God and so of the nine fruits of the Spirit, we want to focus on the fruit of peace in the Bible and how we can have more of it in our lives today.

Specifically, the fruit of peace in the Bible is one of the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit that are recorded in Galatians 5:22. As with all of the fruits of the Spirit, the pursuit and demonstration of peace is an indication of the presence of the Spirit of God in the believer’s life.

God wants us to experience His peace and to rest in His promises, but He also wants us to promote and demonstrate peace with our fellow man. Let’s dive deeper into the fruit of peace and allow the Spirit of peace to speak directly to us…

What Does The Fruit Of Peace Mean

what-is-the-fruit-of-peace-in-the-bible

The fruit of peace as I said is needed now more than ever before. Violence and hatred have taken over our world in the form of mass shootings, pandemics, and other tragedies. So what does the term fruit of peace mean?

The term fruit of peace simply refers to the fact that peace is a characteristic or the evidence you will see from someone being led by the Spirit of God. Jesus said when warning His disciples of false prophets in Matthew 7:16, “Ye shall know them by their fruits”.

And so in this uncertain climate that we find ourselves in, we have to ask, am I doing all that I can do to follow peace with all men? Am I doing everything I can to demonstrate and promote peace? The lack of peace in our world today has a spiritual origin. Jesus said in John 10:10, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy”. One of the reasons that we have such a hard time getting these tragedies under control is that we’re trying to solve them with earthly solutions when they have spiritual origins.

When a person commits any act of evil they are not acting under their own unction or volition. If the fruit of peace is evidence that a person is being led by the Spirit of God then it makes sense that evil would be the evidence of a person being led by the spirit of the devil. You can’t arrest, imprison, or kill a spirit which is why when we catch or kill someone for such crimes, the same crime just happens somewhere else in like manner. This is a spiritual problem and must be addressed as such.

We must not only promote peace but also promote obedience to God as the only pathway to peace. One of the best ways to spread peace is to be peaceful. Seek to be a peacemaker in this world. Proverbs 15:1 says, “A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger”. Seek to calm and defuse anger. In every situation we should ask ourselves, how can I be a peacemaker in this situation? God honors and blesses those who pursue peace. In fact Psalms 34:14 tells us, “Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it”.

What Is The Fruit of Peace Spiritually

Without spiritual peace, physical or earthly peace can not be obtained. Most if not all of the things that would attack or disturb your peace on earth come from an evil, spiritual source. This is why The Apostle Paul said in Ephesians 6:12, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”. What is spiritual peace?

Spiritual peace is being in covenant with God the Father through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. This gives us not only peace with God but also authority over demonic forces which in turn gives us control over anything that would disturb our peace.

When Jesus rose from the dead He declared in Matthew 28:18, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth”. Since we are, according to Romans 8:16-17, joint heirs with Him through faith we too have access to this power. In John 14:12 Jesus tells His disciples, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father”. Demonstrating any of the fruits of the spirit requires the Power of God

The Power of God enables us to be peacemakers on the earth both in the spirit and natural realm. Demonstrating the fruit of peace is an act of righteousness and this is what God wants us to be doing. When we don’t do the work of God on the earth we allow the devil free reign to cause death and destruction.

Sharing The Fruit Of Peace

As with all areas of Christian living, the best way to share the fruit of peace is by your example. There’s something powerful about the ability to put one’s pride aside and demonstrate humility for peace’s sake. These are the types of followers that God is looking for. God is looking for people to die sothat He may live through them. If we look at the life of Jesus, that is exactly what He did. The description of Jesus given in Isaiah 53 really brings this point out.

But he was wounded for our transgressions,
he was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 53:5

Jesus, the Son Of God was willing to sacrifice everything just so we could have peace. He is the God of the universe and yet for reconciliation and peace’s sake, he humbled Himself even to the death of the cross. We must remember that Jesus was not only our savior but also our example. God calls us to live our lives in the same manner that He did. As we look at the state of our world God is calling us to be peacemakers where ever possible.

We must be ambassadors for peace because if the people of God who know the Bible and the will of God don’t act a peaceful world can’t be achieved. Let’s do our part for the Kingdom of God and demonstrate the fruit of peace.

What Is The Meaning Of Philippians 4:7? https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/what-is-the-meaning-of-philippians-4-7/ https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/what-is-the-meaning-of-philippians-4-7/#respond Wed, 15 Jun 2022 20:35:37 +0000 https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/?p=3237

Around 60 A.D. The Apostle Paul wrote the book of Philippians while He awaited trial in Rome. This was both a harsh and pivotal time in Christianity where many believers’ faith was being severely tested. It’s through this lens that we discover the meaning of Philippians 4:7 and what we can learn from it?

Philippians 4:7 is actually a continuation of verse Philippians 4:6 where The Apostle Paul had been encouraging believers in Philippi to not be anxious over the increasing persecution of the Church. He urged believers to pray about everything and allow God’s Peace to guard them against the devil’s attacks on their hearts and mind.

This same truth applies today. Although no emperor is persecuting us the devil is still attacking the minds of believers all over the world. So how can we experience the peace that surpasses all understanding that The Apostle Paul spoke of? Let’s take a closer look…

Why Were Christians Persecuted In Rome

what-is-the-meaning-of-philippians-4-7

In order to really understand what The Apostle Paul was conveying in Philippians 4:7 you would have to understand what was happening in the Christian world at this time. At this point, the resurrection of Jesus was roughly about 60 years removed and Christianity was spreading like wildfire. Just like when Jesus had been on the earth the persecution of Christians continued. Many of the disciples were killed because of this and there didn’t seem to be any end in sight as it relates to the persecution. The Apostle Paul penned this letter, as I said while on house arrest awaiting trial in Rome.

As you can read from the latter chapters in the book of Acts Paul had been himself persecuted and pursued by the Jews from town to town. He was forced to appeal His case to Ceasar after He was arrested for preaching Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. It was this appeal that landed Him in Rome where He began to write letters to His different contacts and churches to encourage them and to see how they were growing in their faith and the Lord. The problem that Paul had in Rome was that Rome was a pagan state, which meant that they worshipped many gods.

As Christianity spread into Rome the clash in beliefs became a huge problem for Apostle Paul and others. The Christians refused to assimilate to Roman beliefs and the worship of their gods. Christians were often scapegoats for anything that would go wrong in Roman society because it would be said that they angered the other gods. The day-to-day lives of Christians were dangerous, to say the least. The Christian’s life was always at risk, they could be arrested and killed at any time. This is the backdrop in which The Apostle Paul is writing this letter.

The fact that Christians were being persecuted to this degree was driving a constant sense of worry, anxiousness, and anxiety among believers.

The Peace Of God That Surpasses All Understanding

Paul was addressing the pressures of persecution on fellow believers. He was encouraging them to stand firm and strong despite the threat of death. This was a common theme in Paul’s writing to all of the churches because they were all dealing with the same thing. From house arrest, facing a likely death Himself, He was trying to convey to them that even in death we are still victorious through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. This is also what we must understand. We must realize that our victory comes from faith in and obedience to Jesus Christ.

A lot of believers during this time were struggling with fear. People were being burned alive, boiled in oil, and even cast into lions’ dens. The Christian life that we live today is nothing like what they were going through and yet they found hope and peace in the promises of God. Finding the kind of peace that surpasses all understanding has to begin in the mind and has to be won there. The war for peace always begins in the mind, and that’s where we have to take the fight to the devil. This is why we have verses like Isaiah 26:3.

How To Fight For Peace In Your Mind

There’s only one way to fight the devil’s lies that bombard our minds 24 hours a day, we must know God’s Word. Jesus demonstrated this so beautifully when the Spirit of God led Him into the wilderness to be tempted. This was a beautiful demonstration of how to counter evil thoughts that comes into your mind by using the Word of God. This is why Bible reading is extremely important because you can’t defend yourself if you don’t know the Bible. If you can’t defend yourself in your mind you can’t have peace. You also need to believe the Bible to have peace as well.

The devil is very persuasive and we have to believe God above all else, even above our own feelings. If your faith is not rooted in the Word of God the devil might be able to convince you that he’s right. Many people are deceived by him every day. A regular Bible study time will guard your heart and mind against these attacks. It will also promote your peace by reminding you of God’s promises as well as all of the miracles He has already performed throughout biblical history.

How To Rest In The Peace That Surpasses All Understanding

Actually, the answer to how to rest in the peace that passes all understanding is found not that far away in the very next verse.

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you”

Philippians 4:8

The Apostle Paul here, as He closes is letting the Philippian Church know that they have a part to play in their peace and the same applies to us. We have control over our thought. We don’t have to let the devil fill our minds with his evil, fearful, doubtful thoughts and just sit back and accept them. Just as Jesus did in the wilderness we can fight back with the Word of God. We can choose to think about what’s lovely, honorable, just, and pure. We can choose to believe God’s Word over what the doctor says and rebuke fear. Let us go forward in faith and trust God will take care of everything else. Glory to God…

Amen, Well friends I pray these words were edifying to you and I want to invite you to download our free guide, “5 Ways To Fight Worry, Anxiousness, And Anxiety

Did Jesus Bring Peace To The Earth? https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/did-jesus-bring-peace-to-the-earth/ https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/did-jesus-bring-peace-to-the-earth/#respond Mon, 13 Jun 2022 13:49:22 +0000 https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/?p=3219

It’s practically impossible to consume any source of media without being reminded of the vast amounts of death, division, and destruction plaguing our world on a daily basis. With such a great need for peace It is quite reasonable for one to ask the question, did Jesus bring peace to the earth?

According to Romans 5:1, Jesus brought to earth the ability for man to have peace and be reconciled to God through His death, burial, and resurrection. When we place our faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified we gain access to peace with God, which cannot be obtained otherwise.

Why then did Jesus say, I have not come to bring peace, but a sword? What did He mean and how can both verses be true? This is what we will be studying as we continue, let’s take a closer look together…

Is Jesus The Peace Of God

did-jesus-bring-peace

It’s so interesting Jesus wore many hats and had many titles. Jesus was called the Son Of Man, Son of God, Wonderful Counselor, and Mighty God. In Matthew 16:13 Jesus even asks, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is”? He is also called the Prince Of Peace, but is Jesus the Peace of God?

Jesus is the means by which we can have peace with God. Just as I said above the whole purpose of Jesus’s first advent was to make it possible for man to be reconciled to God the Father by paying the debt of sin that man owed, thereby bringing peace between us and God.

When we talk about Jesus and Him bringing peace we have to look at it in two different ways. There’s peace between man and God and there’s peace on the earth. These are two different things but eventually, Jesus will address both of them. During Jesus’s first advent the Jewish people had been waiting for a great king that would come and liberate them and restore the nation of Israel to the past glory It enjoyed during the time of King David. That will still occur but that’s not why Jesus came at that point.

Just like the Jewish people during the time when Jesus first came many people today are wondering what’s going on. Why is God allowing all of this death and destruction upon the earth? If Jesus came to bring peace why won’t he do something to stop all of the sufferings that we see every day? What many people don’t realize is that the problems that mankind face today are a direct result of us turning away from God and rejecting His law. Only obedience to God’s law will bring peace, disobedience will always bring death and destruction.

God is not double-minded. Consider this verse in Galatians 6:7-8, “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life”. What kind of God would He be if He said we reap what we sow and then rescued us from our reaping? This is why it’s important to your peace to know what seeds you’re sowing because once they’re sown you can’t take them back.

In other words, if we don’t sow peace we shouldn’t expect peace. God wants us to be peacemakers and many people don’t have peace because they don’t promote peace. We must give what we wish to receive. Consider this verse from Galatians…

“Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law”.

Galatians 5:19-22

We want to be associated with and live our lives in accordance with verse 22, not 19-21. A peaceful life will only come from living a life full of the fruits of the spirit.

How Do We Find Peace In Jesus

Matthew 10:34-36 says, “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a person’s enemies will be those of his own household”. What did Jesus mean here? Jesus was letting us know that His teaching would divide people because not everyone will want to forsake their sins. It’s not that Jesus doesn’t want peace, but he knew how the world would respond. So how do we find peace in Jesus?

We find peace in Jesus by simply obeying what He taught and emulating His life. Jesus was not only our savior but He was also our example who would show us how we are to conduct ourselves in this world. Jesus said, “my peace I leave with you”, by faith we need to believe and accept it.

Looking at this question more broadly as I eluded to already, a better question is how do I find or get peace. Whether you’re looking to find peace in Jesus, God, or something else one thing remains the same, there’s no true peace outside of the will of God. If We love our sins or give up some but try to hold on to some we can’t have peace. You know, life can burden a person so much that they will be willing to do anything to get relief. Life can really back you into a corner, like if the doctor tells you you have cancer and you’ll be dead in six months.

You see, the peace of God spends in any situation because it’s true peace. Why is God’s peace true peace? God’s peace is true peace because He has authority over everything and everyone. If Jesus needs to say to the winds and waves, “peace be still” they must obey. If you want true peace simply align yourself with the one who has all power and authority.

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me”.

Matthew 28:18

What Is The Peace Of God? What Does The Bible Say? https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/what-is-the-peace-of-god-what-does-the-bible-say/ https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/what-is-the-peace-of-god-what-does-the-bible-say/#comments Sat, 11 Jun 2022 21:04:34 +0000 https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/?p=3191

In this day and time between the pandemic and a growing multitude of mass shootings, anyone suffering from a lack of peace would easily be forgiven. Sleeplessness and anxiety have taken over the minds and bedrooms of millions of people who are desperately looking for help. So here we want to address the question, “what is the peace of God”, and how we can access it to relieve anxiety and fear?

As a general rule, the peace of God is obtained only through careful adherence to God’s law which in turn places us in a position to freely receive and enjoy all of the promises of God. Obedience to God obligates God to fulfill the promises in His word, one of which is to keep us in perfect peace.

Although peace is defined as, freedom from disturbance; quiet, and tranquility. In order for you to be free from disturbance, you would have to be in control over not only your environment but also the thing that would disturb you. As we continue with this study we are going to zero in on how to get free from the demon of worry, anxiousness, and anxiety during these uncertain times that we live in, let’s get started…

Why Is The Peace of God Important?

The peace of God is important because God’s peace is the only true peace. There’s no true peace outside of God and His Kingdom. As I said above that in order to have peace you would have to have control over your surroundings and over anything that would disturb you, this includes demon spirits. Without having spiritual authority over demonic forces it’s impossible to have peace and without submission, to God, it’s impossible to have spiritual authority. The peace of God is realized when we come into agreement with Him and His Word.

Isaiah 26:3 says, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee because he trusteth in thee”. When we as humans move away from God and His Word we also inadvertently move away from peace and safety. One of the things that I don’t think we keep in the forefront of our minds enough is that the devil is actively seeking to destroy anyone who he finds vulnerable. Being outside of the will and word of God makes you vulnerable. When we are out of covenant with God, through disobedience, we become susceptible to the very real attacks of the devil.

In Psalms 34:7 God promises, “The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him and delivereth them”. This verse implies that those who don’t fear the Lord would not be encamped about by the angel of the Lord. In Psalms 34:21-22 we read, “Evil shall slay the wicked and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate. The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate”. Many people are deceived into a false sense of peace because there’s no obvious consequence to their disobedience.

The peace of God is essential because if God were to take away our ability to access His peace from the earth the devil would destroy all of us in no time. We must remember, that when we walk away from God, we walk away from peace even if it doesn’t appear to be so.

How Do I Walk In God’s Peace?

Walking in God’s peace starts when we surrender our will and die to our flesh. Too many of us give our lives to God and at the same time try to maintain some level of control over our lives. Jesus said if you love me, keep my commandments. Many people say they love the Lord. Many people say they are Christians, but how many truly seek to, on a daily basis, keep His commandments? How many of us are truly grieved when we fail the Lord? There’s an unmistakable peace in doing what’s right and obeying the laws of God.

In Psalms 119:165 we read, “Great peace have they which love thy law, and nothing shall offend them. So how do we walk in God’s peace? We walk in God’s peace by knowing what His word promises us and standing on those promises by faith proclaiming them to be true. We walk in God’s peace when we choose to believe the word of God over the lies of the devil. Everything we receive from God must come through faith, and the peace of God is no exception. Make no mistake about it, the unbeliever and those who are disobedient unfortunately can not access the peace of God.

How Can We Know That We Have The Peace Of God?

Knowing that we have the peace of God comes from knowing that we have lived according to the law of God. Again, anything we receive from God we receive by faith. Our confidence doesn’t come from how we feel or what we think we know but rather from doing what God says to do and believing that what He has already said and done is the truth. If God says He will keep those who keep their minds on Him in perfect peace, then we should keep our minds on Him and His Word and claim our peace. It has nothing to do with how we feel, only what God says.

We have the peace of God when we are free from worry and anxiousness. Worry is a sin because it’s unbelief. When we worry we are in essence saying we believe the devil more than God. We are never supposed to believe anything that says something different than what God’s word says. Consider the words of Proverbs 29:25, “The fear of man bringeth a snare but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe”. Now, if I read and understand this verse and then go and fear man for whatever reason, I have moved into unbelief.

In Proverbs 19:23 we see another example of God’s promises which should give us peace but that’s only if we apply faith to it. Proverbs 19:23 says, “The fear of the LORD tendeth to life and he that hath it shall abide satisfied he shall not be visited with evil”. Once we obey the Lord we must be able to rest in His promises and know that we have the peace of God. God will cover us in His peace if we will obey Him, fear Him, and believe Him

The Importance Of Faith To Your Peace

It’s important to note that if a person can’t demonstrate faith they can not have peace. As I said above, God’s peace and everything else about God come by way of faith. This is why Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith, it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him”. I repeatedly reference this scripture because it’s that important. The only alternatives to faith are worry and anxiety and after we worry we still have the problem.

This is what Jesus spoke of in Matthew 6:27, “And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life”? Having the privilege and ability to trust in God through all of the tragedies of the world is the best thing any of us could ever have. The world is full of evil but when we place our faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified we can find safety from that evil. God’s word is true, we can depend on Him to watch over us and keep us, and therein is our peace.

What Is the Will Of The Father According To Jesus? https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/what-is-the-will-of-the-father-according-to-jesus/ https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/what-is-the-will-of-the-father-according-to-jesus/#respond Wed, 08 Jun 2022 18:42:05 +0000 https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/?p=3170

Jesus during His first advent constantly made reference to His Father and the need for Him to do the Father’s Will, but what did He mean? During His ministry, Jesus accomplishes many well-noted miracles and acts of righteousness, but what exactly is the will of the father?

The will of the Father is that we believe in His only begotten Son and what He taught. In addition, it is the Father’s Will that we obey the teachings of Jesus, internalize His teaching, and share them with all who will receive them as outlined in Mark 16:15.

Since Jesus said in Matthew 7:21, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven“, I think it’s super important to drill down into what is meant in detail by the term, “Will Of My Father”. Let’s get started…

The Will Of The Father Is To Believe In The Son

When we think about the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ it would be easy to understand the reaction of the centurion soldier recorded in Matthew 27:54, “Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God”. There was so much validation around the ministry of Jesus that one would be hard press to refute His claims. One such occurrence happened on the “Mount Of Olives” when Jesus was transfigured before Peter James and John.

Matthew records this event in the 17th chapter, and in the 5th verse, and it reads, “While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him”. Again, the Father wants us to believe the Son and His message that the Kingdom Of God is at hand, He’s urging repentance. The Father is pointing at the Son and telling the world to follow Him. Acts 4:12 also makes this point when it says, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved”.

If you ever follow the life and ministry of Jesus one of the things that you will notice about Him is how on task He stayed. He always seemed to be in tune with what the Father wanted Him to do at any given time, it is a wonderful example to see. The Father points us to Jesus because belief in Jesus is His salvation plan for man. A person can not be reconciled back to a right relationship with God, the Father without faith in what Jesus accomplished at the cross. So yes, It’s the Father’s will that we follow Him.

The Will Of The Father Is That None Should Perish

In John 3:16 this very familiar scripture tells us, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. God doesn’t want anyone perishing this is why He provides a way of escape for anyone who wants it. If we go all the way back to the garden of Eden from the very beginning, at the fall of man God provided a solution for sin. When Adam and Eve sinned and were found naked God provide them with animal skins to cover themselves, not just themselves, but also their sins as well.

In Egypt when God sent the death angel to kill all of the firstborn of the Egyptians, the children of Israel were spared because they were covered by the blood God instructed them to place on their door post. Throughout the entire Old Testament, we see the children of Israel making sacrifice after sacrifice to God for their sins. All of these acts were pointing to the ultimate sacrifice, the Lord Jesus Christ. When Jesus came to the earth He came with a purpose. He wasn’t just born like any other person that comes into the world. Jesus was sent here to redeem mankind for the fall of Adam and Eve.

This is why not just any religion can reconcile mankind to God. When Adam and Eve sinned and covered themselves with fig leaves that represented other religions as well as man’s attempt to restore himself. When God rejected their solution and killed an animal He gave them skins that were sufficient to cover their sins. We know that Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”. Although God’s judgment must be satisfied when sin is committed the best part is He Himself has provided us with a remedy, Glory To God!

My Meat Is To Do The Will Of My Father

In the book of John Jesus, after having an extended conversation with the woman of Samaria about her life the disciples return from shopping for more food. Let’s take a look at John 4:31-34, “In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat. But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me and to finish his work“. What Jesus is communicating here is that doing the will of God is more important than even eating.

As I said above, Jesus always stayed on task. He always was mindful of the work of God, we must do this as well. This is what it really means to seek first the Kingdom Of God and Its righteousness. Friends, God is looking for people to serve with this same mindset that will put advancing the Kingdom Of God above all else. God is more than big enough to take care of our needs, we need only put Him first in our lives and He will act.

How The Will Of The Father Empowered Jesus

I’ve spoken about Jesus’s singleness of mind concerning the will of the Father but we haven’t talked about how that benefited and empowered Jesus. In the day that we live in, there are many, many preachers, teachers, prophets, and apostles, you get the point. There’s no shortage of people with a “word from the Lord” to share with whoever will listen; however, we don’t see the undeniable power and anointing that rested on Jesus. There was a certain seriousness about Jesus, and I know He is God in the flesh but He also was a 100% man as well.

Jesus demonstrated what any of us could be if we were to submit to the will of the Father as He did. Many people don’t believe they have access to that type of power but Jesus said we do. In John 14:12-14 Jesus said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it”.

Jesus’ determination to keep the Father’s Will the first priority in His life gave him the power to do the works that He did. Basically, the Father extended His great power to Jesus because Jesus was doing what the Father wanted to be done. The Father wants us all who believe in His Son, The Lord Jesus Christ to operate in the exact same way that Jesus did. He wants us to have the same anointing and power to accomplish His work on the earth.

Wanting to know the will of God is the worthiest of endeavors for anyone walking on two feet any day of the week. Unfortunately, knowing the will of God is not readily understood by just any and everyone which leaves most of us having to ask, how can I know the Will of God?

Specifically speaking, one may know the will of God by emptying one’s self out, fully submitting to God’s Word, and being led by His Spirit. The knowledge of God’s will is reserved for those who have come to their own end and have made the commitment to fear and obey Him without exception.

God wants us to know His will and to live a happy life of obedience to Him but we must do our part and diligently seek Him until we find Him. It’s from this perspective that I want to study this title and you are invited to discover with me what the spirit of God has to say to us today, let’s get started…

How To Know The Will Of God Through Fasting

how-can-i-know-the-will-of-god

In order to learn what God wants of you or to know His will for your life the very first thing that must be done is to draw close to Him. There are many ways to go about this which is what we are going to talk about for a bit. One of the best ways to draw closer to God is by fasting. Fasting does a few things that help us draw closer to God. Fasting is a sacrifice to God. It shows God that we want Him so much that we are willing to even seek Him straight through our meal times. We are telling Him I need you so much that I’m not even going to stop seeking you to eat.

Usually, when a person commits to a fast they don’t just fast from food but from everything but God. When I fast I turn off or stay off all of my devices and I use that time exclusively for prayer and Bible study. I call this time a time of consecration where God has my full attention. It’s during this time that God will draw close to us and begin to reveal different things to us. God loves when we put Him first especially when we put Him before our own desires. Part of learning God is learning to trust Him with our lives without us worrying about tomorrow.

This too attracts God to us in a powerful way. When we demonstrate faith in what God has said He responds to us and draws us closer to Himself. Anyone who wants to know God and His will would benefit greatly from this approach. Consecrate yourself through fasting and allow God’s Spirit to begin speaking to you, you’ll be amazed at what He says.

How To Know The Will Of God Through Prayer

Anyone who has read the Bible would have probably noticed that prayer and fasting are pretty much a married couple. Prayer and fasting compliments each other so well and when combined together they produce incredible results. Let me take a moment to make a point, the things I’m writing here are for those who are seriously seeking God for an answer. Many people think that their modern-day regular routine of just attending church once a week will give them the answers that they are looking for. Let me be the first to tell you, that won’t work.

Serving God and learning His Will is a full-time effort. It’s important that when we engage in a time of consecration with God that we spend lots of time in prayer asking God for the leading of His Spirit. When I sit down to write I always ask God to help me to shut up and be used as an instrument of righteousness. If you talk to God He will talk back, God desires us to come to Him and have a relationship with Him. He desires to reveal Himself to us. Consider Proverbs 3:32 where the Bible teaches us that the secret of the Lord is with the righteous.

Time spent in prayer to the Lord is the best time that anyone could spend. There’s not another activity that a person can engage in that would benefit them as much as a prayer to the Lord. James 5:16 says, “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much”. Anyone desiring to know the will of God has to have a regular prayer schedule in their arsenal.

How To Know The Will Of God Through His Word

how-can-i-know-the-will-of-god

Knowing God through His Word is so rewarding. It’s like having all of the correct answers to any test you would ever have to take. One of the things you’ll notice is that all of these methods work best together. First Corinthians 2:14 tells us, “But the natural man receiveth, not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned”. Although the Word of God is full of God’s Will for us we still need Him to reveal the actual meaning of His Word. This is why fasting and prayer are so important.

They focus our minds on God and allow His Spirit to speak directly to us. Many people read the Bible but don’t understand the meaning therein. All of these methods work together to produce an understanding of God’s Will for our lives. Just as I said before it must be a full-time commitment, we could never gain an understanding of God on a part-time basis.

How To Know The Will Of God Through His Spirit

When describing the Holy Spirit to His disciples Jesus said that the Holy Spirit is our helper who will come alongside of us and guide us into all truth. Jesus describes the Holy Spirit as someone that we need to accomplish His work and will on the earth. In Luke 24:49 Jesus says, “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem until ye be endued with power from on high”. Jesus wanted His disciples to go into all of the world to share the gospel but before they could do it He wanted them to wait for the Holy Spirit to come.

The Holy Spirit will teach us the Will of God and give us the Power of God to overcome the struggles we all will face on our journey to know His will. In John 16:12 Jesus says this of the Holy Spirit, “I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall show it unto you”.

The Holy Spirit will speak to you and guide you so that you are always doing what God wants you to be doing. The Holy Spirit will keep us on the very important task of world evangelism, which was commanded by Jesus after His resurrection. Having The Spirit of God living in us is crucial to our ability to know God’s will for our lives.

Why We Need To Know God’s Will For Us And The World

A man without God is like a moving car without a driver, destined for destruction. I said in another post that man was never designed to operate apart from God. The one important reason we need to know God’s will for our lives is that the devil is trying to destroy us. If we don’t know what God’s will is for us the devil can lead us down the wrong path. From the book of Job, we know that there’s a spiritual world or realm running parallel to this one.

We know that The Apostle Paul said in Ephesians 6:12, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”. When we are not in the will of God for our lives it leaves us open to attacks from the devil that we will never see coming. There are people getting attacked every day by the devil and they have no idea that it came from him. I’m sure I don’t have to tell you that none of us are any match for the devil even on our best days.

We can know God’s will and He wants us to know it. Jeremiah 29:13 says, “And ye shall seek me, and find me when ye shall search for me with all your heart”.

Can You Go Against The Will Of God? https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/can-you-go-against-the-will-of-god/ https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/can-you-go-against-the-will-of-god/#respond Sat, 04 Jun 2022 01:25:04 +0000 https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/?p=3113

This is a question that has been debated for centuries. Many believe God’s will for humanity is set in stone and there’s no changing it, while others believe that man’s free will gives him the ability to do his own thing. No matter what side you fall on there will always be different opinions around the question, can you go against the will of God?

According to the Bible, man has free will to do what he pleases as he lives his life on earth. While it’s God’s will that no one would perish, but that all men would come to a saving knowledge of Him, He doesn’t force anyone to follow or live according to His will.

As I said previously when God created the earth and everything in it, man was never intended to live his life without God’s leading. As we continue through this study we are going to look at the pros and cons of free will vs. God’s will and let the Spirit of God open our understanding further, let’s get started…

Can The Will Of God Be Changed?

can-you-go-against-the-will-of-god

In Malachi 3:6, we read, “For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed”. From this verse, we know that God’s will for man is never going to change. God is not like man who may act a certain way one day and the next day be totally different. With man, one day he may be happy and a couple of days later he may not. Our God is perfect in all of His ways and there is no error in Him. God’s consistency is a tremendous blessing to us because we can depend on Him to do what He says He will do. God is faithful to His Word, His Promises and His People, those who fear Him.

God’s consistency is also the reason that His Word is as relevant to us today as it was so many thousands of years ago. The promises that God makes to one generation often applies to many other generations that follow simply because there’s no fluctuation in His Word or Will. So no, His Will can’t be changed, His steadfastness is one of the many refreshing qualities about Him that are unfortunately often missing in man.

How Does My Prayers Affect the Will Of God?

There so much that can be said about the subject of prayer It blows my mind and although the prayers of the righteous availeth much they won’t change the will of God. Prayer is actually one of the weapons of our warfare, one of the means by which we defend ourselves against the attacks of the devil. Your prayers also serve as an opportunity for spiritual renewal and refreshing. It is the place we go when we need God to recharge us for the battle. Luke 18:1 tells us, “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint”.

Ideally, we want to actually be praying for the will of God. We really want to stay before the Lord so much that we know His Will enough to communicate it in prayer. It really does no good to pray a prayer that’s outside of the will of God. God is not going to violate His Will for the sake of giving us what we want, He’s not going to do it. Consider James 4:3, “Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. God is not interested in conforming to us, but rather us conforming to Him.

Prayer doesn’t affect the will of God, fervent, effective prayer is the will of God. This is why Jesus said in Matthew 9:38, “Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest”. This is a perfect example of praying God’s Will, the perfect prayer is to pray what God wants.

What Happens If I Go Against The Will Of God?

What happens when we go against the will of God depends on how much of God’s will we know. In Luke 12:47-48 Jesus tells us, “And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more“. God is much more merciful to those who are ignorant of His word than He is to those who know it better.

This is why Jesus was so merciful and forgiving to the sinners He encountered like the lady in John 8:1-11, caught in adultery. In John 8:7 Jesus responds, “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her”. In contrast to this, He was incredibly judgemental of the Pharisees In other cases. When we know what God wants us to do and decide not to do it we should expect a terrible punishment. While God is a great and merciful God, He’s also a God of judgement and we must recognize and remember this.

There’s also another negative that happens when we go against the will of God. Disobedience to God removes us out from under all of the promises and benefits that belong to those who fear Him. Lets take a look at some of the promises and benefits that are given to those who fear the God and live within His will.

  • Proverbs 19:23, “The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil”.
  • Proverbs 14:26-27, “In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge. The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death”.
  • Proverbs 10:27, “The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
  • Proverbs 33:18, “Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy“.
  • Psalms 34:7, “The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
  • Psalms 145:19, “He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them“.
  • Psalms 34:9, “O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him”.

The list of blessings that we forfeit is far too great to list here but I did want to give you some examples to refer to. The long and short of it is that it’s never a good choice to go against the will of God.

Amen, Well friends I pray these words were edifying to you and I want to invite you to download our free guide, “5 Ways To Fight Worry, Anxiousness, And Anxiety

When Will The Will Of God Be Done? https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/when-will-the-will-of-god-be-done/ https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/when-will-the-will-of-god-be-done/#respond Thu, 02 Jun 2022 13:42:48 +0000 https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/?p=3102

In light of current events, there seems to be a sense of worry and anxiousness concerning the future. With so many tragedies constantly happening in the world, hopelessness continues to loom and people want to know, when will the will of God be done?

According to the Bible, God’s Will will be done at the conclusion of the Great White Throne Judgement described in Revalations 20:11-15. This is the final reckoning between light and darkness, good and evil when all that offends will be cast into the lake of fire outlined in verse 15.

God’s will being done ultimately is the restoring of the earth to its original state before the fall of Adam and Eve. Prior to His will being done the whole of mankind has a choice to make as to whether it wants to accept God’s restoration plan or not, this is the point that we are at now. So what role will man play in God’s will being done on earth? Let’s take a closer look and see…

How Is The Will Of God Being Done?

when-will-the-will-of-god-be-done

In Genesis, the first chapter God creates the heavens and the earth. At the end of chapter one, God looked at what He created and said it is good. There was no evil, sickness, pain, hatred, or any such thing. The man, Adam was also created during this time. When God created mankind, the man was never intended to operate apart from God. The man was always intended to follow God’s instructions. It was the will of God that His newly formed creation would live and thrive under His guidance and leadership. Genesis 1:31 says, “And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day”.

As we all know this beautiful state of being wouldn’t last long because in the third chapter we know that Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate of the tree that God told them not to. Now, for the first time, man was out of the will of God. From this point God began to construct a plan of restoration for all of mankind. God is a righteous God that can not tolerate sin of any kind. Romans 6:23 says that the wages of sin is death, thus the reason for all of the sacrifices in the old testament.

These sacrifices were a temporary fix to the problem and actually pointed to God’s permanent plan to restore man, Jesus Christ. Now that I’ve given you the background in part, the question then becomes, how is God’s will being done now after all of the mess that was created by Adam and Eve’s disobedience? Well, as I said above, we are in a sifting or separating period at this time meaning that because of the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ we now have the opportunity to be restored back to God through faith in what He has done.

Not only do we have the opportunity to be restored to God but we also have the opportunity to participate in and contribute to the restoring of God’s will on the earth.

Does Man Contribute To The Will Of God Being Done?

Man’s contribution to the will of God being done on earth is done through what is widely known as the “great commission”. Remember, God’s will is to restore the earth back to what it was when it was created and He said it was good. The way we are able to do that is by telling as many people as possible about Jesus Christ and Him crucified to the saving of their souls. In John 3:3 Jesus says this, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God”.

Throughout all Biblical history, God has used man to evangelize, inform, and encourage humanity to return to Himself. The story of God’s salvation plan is weaved through out all of the scriptures and no matter where you find it, it always points to Jesus Christ and Him crucified. So yes, we contribute to God’s will being done by simple sharing the gospel.

What Will Earth Be Like After The Will Of God Is Done?

As I eluded to above, when God’s will is finally done on earth the earth will look and feel vastly different that what we now know and understand of it. In thinking about this there will be somethings that will have to be left to the imagination, however; in the book of Revalations we do see a glimpse into what is to come. For example Revelations 21:1 says, “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea”. A new heaven and new earth will be necessary because sin has corrupted the former ones but also because of the war of Armageddon.

We know from the scripture that in the new heaven and new earth there will be no sickness pain and disease. We can find joy and comfort in the words of Revalation 21:4, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away”. As I said before we are in a purging process right now and those who choose to aligne themselves with God can do so now and those who don’t won’t be able to do so later.

Revalation 21:8 tells us, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death”. Friends, the time to accept Jesus as your savior from the wrath to come is now. We must seek God while He may be found because just like In the days of Noah, once the door to the ark was shut there was no hope. I encourage you, whoever you are, where ever you are to give your life to God today while He can be found, in Jesus name…

Amen, Well friends I pray these words were edifying to you and I want to invite you to download our free guide, “5 Ways To Fight Worry, Anxiousness, And Anxiety

What Does God’s Will Include? https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/what-does-gods-will-include/ https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/what-does-gods-will-include/#comments Mon, 30 May 2022 17:22:25 +0000 https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/?p=3086 We as people of God must always remember that not everyone knows God. There are some people who have never been inside of a church or read a Bible. For those people, these seemingly basic questions have a different urgency. With all of the uncertainty in the world today many want to know what God’s will is for their lives and what does His will include?

God’s will is that we love the Lord our God with all of our hearts and with all of our souls and all of our minds. God’s will is also that we love our neighbors as ourselves. In other words, it’s God’s will that we empty ourselves in service to God and our fellow man.

Now, these two great commandments encompass many other things that are defined as God’s will and we want to look at those as well. God’s will for man is vast and although it would be hard to fit it all into this one post we do want to cover as much as God sees fit for this setting, let’s get started…

What Did Jesus Say About God’s Will?

Knowing the will of God is incredibly important to our daily Christian walk with God. In Romans 8:14 The Apostle Paul tells us, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God”. Being led by the Spirit Of God is the single best way to know in real time what the will of God is for your life at any given moment. Generally speaking, God’s will includes us obeying His word. God’s will includes us believing in His Son, the Lord Jesus. These are the very basic things we should do as Christians.

In the book of Matthew’s 5th chapter, Jesus begins this long dissertation more widely known as the “Sermon On The Mount”. He begins in the fifth chapter with the beatitudes and as He moves through the sixth chapter He begins to speak about worry and anxiety. In the seventh chapter as He begins to end His talk He leaves us with this warning in Matthew 7:21, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

For those who may not know this, I want to tell you that it’s impossible to do God’s will without the leading of His Spirit and the knowledge of His Word. This is something that you will hear me repeat many times because it’s that important. Many people wonder why their prayers go unanswered and why they struggle with fear and sin. We’ve all heard people say, it doesn’t take all of that to be a Christian. As I’ve said before there’s a whole group of people that the devil has convinced that church attendance is enough to get into heaven.

God’s will consists of much more than church attendance. Service and submission to God require every part of our lives and being. You can’t pray or seek God too much. There’s no such thing as too much Bible reading or studying. This is what the devil want’s us to think. In Psalms 1:1-2 King David tells us this, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in his law doth he meditates day and night”.

We have to stay before the Lord to know His will, diligently seeking God truly is the only way and this brings us to our next point.

How To Include God’s Will In Your Life

In my book, “Essential Peace”, I talk about what I would tell a new Christian, and I talked about the need for constant communication with God. Part of including God’s will in your life is having constant communication with Him. I talked about diligently seeking Him and in the book of Hebrews 11:6, this is exactly what we are told to do. Including God’s will in your life has to be a daily discipline because the devil will oppose you on every side. Anyone who’s tried to diligently seek Him knows what I mean. The devil doesn’t just through his hands up and let us win the battle.

Every effort to include God’s will in our lives must be performed with determination and grit. We are under constant attack in the spirit realm and this is what is meant in I Timothy 6:12 when the Apostle Paul says, Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses”. It indeed is a fight to believe God’s Word above the doubtful thoughts from the devil that constantly bombards our minds minute by minute every day.

Through regular Bible study, prayer, and meditation God will strengthen us and cause us to be able to overcome any attack that the devil launches against us.

When God’s Will Is Different From Your Will

There will be many times in life when our desires, goals, and ambitions will differ from the plan and will of God. Trust me, these times can be hard to reconcile, and come to terms with. The reason for this is that it’s not always easy to know or understand what the will of God is if we haven’t stayed before Him in prayer. In fact, if you find yourself in this situation it’s usually a clear sign that you’ve gotten away from God on some level. Remember, the goal is to stay so close to God in prayer and study that we can easily perceive His will at any given time.

Remember what Romans 8:14 teaches us, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God”. We are led by His Spirit by staying before Him in constant communication with Him. We must shut out all of the worldly noise. We must do as Hebrews 12:1 says, “let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us”. We must seek first the Kingdom Of God and its righteousness and let God worry about our needs and desires. My friends if we do this we will have no question as to what God wants us to do.

What Will Separate Us From The Will Of God? https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/what-will-separate-us-from-the-will-of-god/ https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/what-will-separate-us-from-the-will-of-god/#comments Sat, 28 May 2022 22:46:48 +0000 https://advancingthekingdomsagenda.com/?p=3075 It’s important to answer this question because a right relationship with God is essential to a good life as well as entry into heaven. There are many things that could separate us from the will of God and we are going to take a deep dive into what they are. So what is it that really separates us from the will of God and how can we overcome it?

Sin separates us from the will of God because it is disobedience to the laws of God. Sin is rebellion against the Kingdom Of God and therefore puts us in an adversarial position toward God and the things of God. Although there are many types of sin, all of them separate us from the will of God.

Separation from God, His Will, or His Kingdom is a place where none of us should ever want to find ourselves. One of the things that separation from God does is cause us not to be able to access the promises and blessings of God. Let’s look at this further and let God’s Spirit speak to us.

How Are We Separated From The Will Of God?

what-will-separate-us-from-the-will-of-God

The best example of how sin separates us from God is found in the Garden Of Eden at the beginning of creation. The whole problem in the Garden Of Eden was disobedience. Disobedience is just another form of sin. God requires full and complete obedience from those who follow Him. When Adam and Eve chose to disobey God they were immediately removed from the Garden and access to God. Just as he told Adam and Eve, the devil will tell us that everything is ok because we don’t see an immediate consequence for our sin.

What many of us don’t realize is that sin does have an immediate consequence but it’s in the spirit realm. Yes, there’s a spirit realm that is unseen running parallel to the earthly realm that we all are used to. Many of man’s problems originate in the spirit realm. This is one of the reasons that obedience to God is so important. God knows all things but our knowledge without God is severely limited.

In Matthew 7:21-23 Jesus says, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity”.

Friends we desperately need God’s input to make it in this life. Actually, we can’t make it without God. What we’ve done is adjusted to and learned to live with things that should not even be. A lot of the daily problems that we’ve just accepted as the norm, God could fix in a word. We don’t allow God to fix them because it would call for submission, repentance, and obedience. Many people like their sin and don’t want to give it up, at one point or another we’ve all been there.

What Are The Signs Of Separation From God’s Will

Some of the main signs of separation are:

  • Unanswered prays
  • Fear
  • Doubt
  • Lack Of Power
  • Worry
  • Lack Of Peace

Those who have been born again will understand the above list. Anytime man is separated from the will of God he experiences one or more of the things listed above. This happens without fail because the devil’s whole purpose is to steal, kill, and destroy. The only thing that can keep him from doing so is the Power Of God. When we separate ourselves from God’s Will and Power the devil can have dominion over us. During these times, we begin to be fearful to the point of a lack of sleep. We begin to worry about everything that happens or that might happen. We pray but we doubt before we even get off of our knees.

We tell the devil to get out of our minds but he refuses to leave, a lack of power. Lastly, Anxiety takes over and our peace leaves us to our own devices. Many people try to medicate this, some try to drink it away, and others turn to drugs or something else. All the while Jesus is calling us home to Himself

Is Separation From The Will Of God Permanent?

The good news in all of this is that just like with the prodigal son, God is waiting for us to return back to Him and His Will with open arms. In Psalms 51:17 the Bible says, “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise”. The Lord loves us so much that He’s always willing to accept our repentance when we come to Him. The familiar scripture John 3:16 reminds us that, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life”.

For those who are reading this and are tired of being defeated by life and the devil, today can be your day to give it all to God. If you’re tired of having fear, doubt, and unbelief you can leave it all at the cross of Christ. If you want to get rid of worry, anxiousness, and anxiety you can leave it all at the cross of Christ. You don’t have to guess, you can know that you are in the will of God. Jesus said in John 10:10, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly”.

What will separate us from the will of God? Nothing if we obey Him and keep Him first in our lives, you can do it and you will with His help, glory to God…
